Fort Worth Bike Sharing is the 501(c)3 nonprofit operator of the Fort Worth BCycle public bike share system providing this service for the City of Fort Worth. Bike sharing is a viable option for socially-distant transportation, a link to other transportation services, a relied-upon vehicle for a number of food delivery workers, and a needed outlet for responsible outdoor cycling recreation. We want to ensure that those who need our services are able to continue moving about Fort Worth in a way that complies with the escalated guidelines.
Fort Worth Bike Sharing will continue to provide services for certain Essential Activities and as an Essential Business in accordance with the "Fifth Amended Declaration of Public Health Emergency/ Shelter in Place” order in effect at 11:59 p.m. March 24, 2020 through 11:59 p.m. April 7, 2020 or later in accordance with the city amendments to the declaration. Please refer to the Official Order, Sections 16.a.iii, 16.a.iv, 16.b.iii, and 16.b.v.
Until further instruction from local leaders, Fort Worth Bike Sharing operations will continue with an enhanced protocol for personal hygiene and social distancing among employees, increased sanitization measures for equipment and in workspaces, and communications to riders regarding hygiene and social distancing.
